NEC's NX8570 series is a 1550 nm Multiple Quantum Well
(MQW) structured Distributed Feed-Back laser diode with wave-
length mon i tor func tion. This device is temperature tunable up
to 8 x 50 GHz channels. Available at both C-band(1550.334 to
1565.087 nm) and L-band (1565.496 to 1508.760 nm) ITU-T
grid wavelength. This de vice is de signed as a CW light source
and is ideal for trans mis sion systems in which external mod u -
la tors are used.
